Any residential or commercial area with a distinct local identity, from a dense urban block to a small-town main street. We favor specificity over broad city-wide categories.
Who takes the photographs in the archive?
A mix of long-time contributors and one-off submissions from people documenting the street they happen to be on. No image is commissioned or staged.
Do you cover small towns or only major cities?
Both. Major cities are easier to document consistently, but some of the most distinct street life on the site comes from smaller towns and suburbs.
How often is new material added?
There is no fixed schedule. New neighborhoods and moments are added as contributors submit them and as the volunteer review group has time to go through submissions.
